In 1988, following a twenty year hiatus due to familial obligations, Franny Orphée returned to college, enrolling at Texas Christian University and exploring other mediums beyond drawing. For the next eight years, Orphée created series of costumed sculptures utilizing cloth over wireframe and religious reliquaries assembled from found objects.
