Educated in private Catholic schools from the age of five until graduating high school, Franny Orphée maintained a deep interest in the depiction of ancient mythological figures and saints. In what she considered her most productive period, Orphée created an extensive series of drawings and illustrations that incorporated this fascination and reimagining of the costumed sculpture.
