Following completion of her Master of Fine Arts degree in 1990, Franny Orphée’s focus returned to drawing, employing the same elements from her much earlier career, drawing with pencil on paper treated with a pastel wash. From 1997 through the early 2000s, Orphée’s broke down the sphere to reveal hidden forms at the subanatomic level.
